Our concept
AuG Kiel drones GmbH is a recognized aviation and flight school company for unmanned aircraft. For the implementation of a special operating license for flying with drones within a GEO zone on wind turbines, the AuG Kiel together with the VDSI specialist group for renewable energies developed an industry standard / training concept for long-distance pilots, manufacturers and operators.
AuG Kiel drones GmbH is an approved company according to the VDSI rule 02/2019 (use of drones on wind turbines) and the VDSI rule 01/2013 modules 13a+b according to the aviation law for the adaptation of national regulations to the implementing regulation (EU) 2019/947 § 21h paragraph 3 (regulations for the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles in geographical areas according to the Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947).
On the basis of this qualification, it is possible for subcontractors to implement industry-specific drone operations on onshore and offshore wind turbines in accordance with Section 21 Paragraph 3 of the Aviation Act directly within a GEO zone. Time-consuming and expensive approval procedures by the LLB / LBA are no longer necessary. The wind turbine operator grants the use of drones within the GEO zone on the basis of the VDSI qualification. If the subcontractor does not have a safety management system, all required documents are created by AuG Kiel drones GmbH.
